Offshore Côte d'Ivoire
Blocks CI-202, 523 & 525

Vitol and Nomad (the "Parties") are offering a select group of companies the opportunity to acquire a substantial interest, and potentially operatorship, in the shallow-water, Eastern Côte d'Ivoire Offshore Gas Development Project ("ECOG") which will develop gas reserves and prospective resources in Blocks CI-202, 525 and 523. The Parties currently hold 90% interest in CI-523 and CI-525, and 87% in CI-202. In addition to this divestment, the Parties are also offering prospective farminees the opportunity to participate in an exploration drilling programme targeting the highly prospective and large, deep water oil prospects, commencing in 2018.

Key points:

  • ECOG has potential gross Mean to Upside dry gas resources of 450-770 Bcf gas considerably de-risked by previous drilling, new 3-D seismic and independent audit;

  • CDI has a deficit between supply and demand for gas fired power and this is expected to grow in the coming years providing immediate demand for the ECOG gas;

  • Further gas discoveries, prospectivity and upside in existing fields have also been identified , which contain ML resources of over 700 Bcf gas and associated condensate;

  • The planned work programme involves an initial phase of five development/production and appraisal wells with a spud date of 2017. Well cost estimates are USD 20 million per well;

  • Farminees are also offered an opportunity to participate in the highly prospective deep water oil play where a number of prospects and leads have already been identified;
