Maurel & Prom (“M&P”) is offering a select group of companies the opportunity to acquire a 42.5% working interest in the highly prospective PEL 0044 & 0045 Licences, located in the Walvis Basin, offshore Namibia. M&P is seeking a prospective farminee to join the company in the drilling of an exploration well in the next licence period.
Key Points:
- High-impact exploration in a global hotspot, containing multiple high-graded prospects and follow-on leads. Gross prospective resources of 2,883 MMbbls (Pmean) across PEL 0044 and additional upside identified on PEL 0045
- Five different exploration play types identified on high quality 2D and 3D seismic data, offering play diversity and significant running room
- Drill-ready prospects include the ‘Aurora’ Basin Floor Fan (275 MMbbls Pmean resources) and the ‘Serenade’ Tilted Shelf-Edge Clastic / Carbonate (436 MMbbls Pmean resources)
- The Aurora prospect is the preferred drilling target for the first exploration well. Optimal placement of the Aurora-1X well could unlock additional upside of 377 MMbbls (Pmean) by testing the overlying Harmony prospect as a secondary target (for a total of 652 MMbbls)
